Personal History

Hi! My name is Trent Bailey. I am 18 years old and I live in Johnstown, Ohio. I am the oldest of three sons. My family and I are currently spending the winter in Florida training for the upcoming 2011 GNCC series. I will be racing the ATV College A class.

I lived in South Eastern Ohio for 7 years of my life where our family owns over 100 acres of strip mine. This is where I learned much of my riding skills. I love to be on anything with wheels. My mom says it is her fault because she was riding quads and tractors when she was pregnant with me. She actually rode the day I was due because she thought it would make her go into labor! My dad rode me on his quad since I was a baby. I have been riding a quad by myself since I was 2 years old. I just can't get enough!

Riding is my passion....racing is my dream! I have wanted to race for as long as I can remember. I have spent many years riding, making trails and jumps on our strip mine property in South Eastern Ohio. We have some pretty serious jumps and hills down there. I don't get to go down there much now. School, working and racing keep my schedule pretty tight.

When I am not riding or working on my bikes, I am researching atv and racing info online.  I also enjoy hunting and fishing. Pretty much, I like to be outside! I go to church at Faith Life Church in Johnstown, Ohio. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My mom says I have never met a stranger!

Riding Goals

I have wanted to race as long as I can remember.  I have always rode a bigger bike. So, I was never allowed to race in the AMA until I turned 16.  My dream is to become pro.

My goal for 2010 was to finish 1st in my class in the Grand Prix series of our District and at least 2nd in the Harescrambles. And to race as many of the GNCCs as I can. Well, I met my goal of winning 1st place and 2nd in the Harescrambles. I also moved up to the B class and won podium spots in that class as well. Overall, I had a great year!

We have decided to race the GNCC series for 2011 plus do local races in between. We are currently training in Florida and will be traveling to each GNCC race on the schedule. My goal for 2011 is to finish strong in the GNCC series and keep moving up! With the sponsors I have now and hopefully continuing to add to this list I will be able to meet this goal. I want to say thank you to Houser Racing, Smith Optics and Twin Air for their help! I look forward to representing them and a few more great companies.

Ultimately, I want to become a pro in the nationals and win!

Competitive Highlights

My first race was such a thrill for me. Even though I was wore out at the end. It was a cool as I thought it would be and I can't get enough. I ended up getting a 3rd place finish on my 1st harescramble race.

Getting my first 1st place finish at Wildwood was definitely one of my highlights! This was bittersweet after 2 weeks previously I started a Harescramble there and a guy caught my back tire and cartwheeled me 4 times on the 1st curve. I managed to hang on. And, by the Grace of God I didn't even get a scratch. I also came back to place 2nd in the race.

Winning the 2010 Class Championship for District 11was a great accomplishment for me. What a feeling knowing all of the hard work paid off!
