Personal History

I started riding when I was 5 years old on a 790 ATC 3-wheeler and got my first quad, a Honda 4Trax, when I was 8 years old. Eventually I made a track on our property and would ride for hours at a time. I began racing a 400EX when I was 17 and hid it from my father for a year due to him not approving of me racing. I had a history of racing local and national events for nearly 13 years when I decided to take a 7 year break. During that time I focused on Olympic Weightlifting which paid off in 2016 when I set a national record and won the Pan-Am American Masters Championship. I retuned to racing in 2019 at the age of 38 where I completed in the LACC Series and won the championship. The 2020 season started off rough due to severe arm pump that was later diagnosed as carpal tunnel. After many attempts to race at the local and national levels with no improvements with my arms, my doctor recommended surgery. The surgeries had to be done one hand at a time with an 8-12 week recovery time for each and a 4 week hold after complete healing on each hand. With daily training, strength conditioning, a healthier diet and physical therapy, my racing has improved tremendously allowing me to compete again. With all of the challenges and obstacles I have had to face to race, my passion for the sport of ATV MX never once faded or was questioned. My strengths include big jumps, smooth cornering and mental toughness.

Riding Goals

 I am looking forward to a more normal, productive and exciting 2021 race season. My goal is to win the LACC Series A Class championship (my local series) and place top 3 in Vet 30+ and 450A at the ATV MX National races in which I compete.
