Personal History
About me... Well I'm a 31 year old divorced father of two beautiful children. I have a little boy who is 8 and a little girl who is 7. Both love fourwheelers and the outdoors like their daddy does. I just purchased my son a starter quad earlier this season and hauled him to a couple races to let him get his feet wet. I grew up around quads, dirtbikes and motorcycles. My father raced when he was my age so thats how I was introduced to the sport. I raced dirtbikes a little in high school, and tried to start racing them again in my mid 20's until I figured out that evertime I went to the track it was costing me an injury due to me coming off so the bike was sold. A good friend of mine talked me into purchasing my first racing quad a couple years after and been back on them ever since. Quads always seemed more comfortable to me, I guess from riding my dad's racers when I was younger. After a while my buddy and I decided to start racing and here I am. I ran the TQRA series this year and started out thinking I got in way over my head. After alot of practice and a race or two I went from being dead last to mid-pack. By the end of the season I've been able to make it to a few podiums. Next year I hope to be fighting for the championship and maybe just maybe thinking about moving up to the +30A class by the end of next season. I'm also planning on getting my boy as much seat and race time as I can being as he is hooked on it now like me.
Riding Goals
By next season, I would like to be consistantly finishing in the top 5 atleast in every race. I've came a long way from where I was riding at the first of the season. I hope to be fighting for the championship in my class next year and hopefully trying to make a move to the +30A class.
Competitive Highlights
This whole season has been a highlight for me. Starting out at the first round and getting flat out whooped, to mid-pack, to some top 5's and podiums I have been very excited with the way the season has gone. I started out the year thinking there is no way I'm gonna make it in this series to finishing 4th in over all points for the series. I hope next year yields the same if not better progression.
