Personal History

My name is Brianna Baker ,I live in Brighton Ontario Canada which is located about 1.5 hours east of Toronto . I will be 16 years old on December 1 2010  and I am currently in grade 11 with a 88% average .. My life resolves around ATV racing I must say ,I started racing in 2006 on a Eton 90 and was hooked right away . The next year I made the move to the sportsman class on a Yamaha Blaster . I raced the Blaster for 2.5 years when I then moved up to the ATV ladies class and started riding a Suzuki LTR 450 . The Suzuki was so much easier to ride seeing as how I am a tall girl and the Blaster was kinda small for me . I rode the Suzuki from then till August of this year when we had our first major mechancal problem . The transmission let go and pieces of metal went through the whole engine . We decided to part the bike out and  buy a new quad . We made a 7 hour drive to Murrysville PA  ,and bought a new 2009 Yamaha YFZ450R . We bought it there seeing as how we could save about 5000 compared to buying one here in Canada and we all know the expence of this sport so we try and save money when we can .

Now a little about my family . My father ,Don Baker  is my inspiration ,he raced himself back in 1989-1994. He then retired when I was born ,but in 2005 decided to get back into racing a local series just for fun .That is when in 2006 he got myself into racing . In 2007 he decided to quit racing himself to put all of his time ,money and effort into my racing. For a living my father  is a truck driver ,which in away I guess is a good thing because driving to races is just like another day on the road for him . My mother ,Melissa Baker is also a big supporter of racing for me . She works for a retirement home ,but on the weekends she is all about racing like the rest of us .

When I am not racing ,I enjoy working out to stay in shape ,hanging with my friends and family and watching motocross on TV or on videos .

Riding Goals

My goals have always been to do my best and most important of all have fun doing it . Back in 2007 my parents and I went to the Unadilla round of the ATVA national series to watch some of the best racing we had ever seen . Since that weekend my dream and goal have been to race a ATVA national and finally in 2011 since I will be 16 my dream is going to come true . We plan on attending 3 or 4 of these races . Which races we havent decided on at this time ,but trust me we will be there . The rest of the 2011 series we will be competing in our local series called the Maguires Motocross Racing Series (www.mmrs.ca) right here in southern Ontario Canada . This series draws 200-300 entries on a average weekend of dirtbikes and quads ,the quads are a good third of the entries which make up 10 classes of quads .

Competitive Highlights

I have to say pretty much every race I compete in I consider a highlight of my life, just because not every teenager out there has had the chance to do this sport . But to me my most race would have to be the 2008 CMRC ATV AMATURE NATIONALS in Parrysound Ontario where I recieved the #2 plate. Next would have to be my first moto win which was at a CMRC ATV series event in GrandBend Ontario in the spring of 2009.
