Personal History

My name is Brandon Rumbaugh, I am a 24 year old retired United States Marine. I was wounded in Afghanistan in November of 2010. My injuries resulted in losing both of my legs, my left below the knee and my right all the way up to the hip. I spent rougly two years in the hospital at Walter Reed Army Medical Center near Washington DC. Since then I moved to my hometown Uniontown, Pennsylvania. I hooked up with a non profit called Viglant Vet Racing, who im racing with/for now. I have a custom built 2008 Yamaha YFZ 450, which was built by Waynesburg Yamaha with help from Lone Star Racing, Custom Axis Suspension and Faast Co. I am currently racing a local XC series The New East Coast XC but plan on racing the GNCC series next year. No one thought it was possible for me to even ride a YFZ 450 considering my injuries.

Riding Goals

My future goals are to race and compete in the GNCC series while helping other Veterans suffering from injuries such as PTSD.

Competitive Highlights

Finished 3rd place in all 3 races I have competed in.
