Personal History
I started riding around 2002-2003 on a Honda Recon. After blasting around on the trails behind my house for a while, I reached the limits of the poor machine. I picked up an 01 Mojave and later stumbled on to a magazine article about GNCC racing. I always knew that MX wasn't for me, but racing on trails sounded right up my alley.
Some how I got the bright idea to race the 2005 Unadilla GNCC for my first race ever. I finished next to last in the first year racer class and slept for the whole ride home, but knew I would be back for more. Since then, I had raced in various AGP, NECC, WNYOA, GNCC, and AMA National XC events.
In 2008 I got the opportunity to borrow a Mojave setup for XC from Greg at Cycle Works Racing to race for a full season. I returned it at the end of the year and found another one with a smilar setup for an unbelievable price. I picked up an 02 Mojave with tons of race parts for 2009 and was able to tune it with the things I had learned during the 2008 season. I have things working better than ever and with a 280 kit in the works, 2010 looks to be a good year for racing.
