Personal History
Hi, my name is Kyler Thau and I was born January 24, 2001. I have been riding ATV's since I was almost 4 years old.
(The discription here on Quad Sponsor of my machine isn't correct!! I race a 2010 70 Stock, 2010 90 Stock and 2009 90 Modified APEX ATV. There wasn't an option for that so I picked something else so that "something" would show up!)
In 2010 I began racing a few races on my Apex ATV's, and now I am racing the WORCS full series. You can see me on some of the websites for WORCS races. My number is 224y. I am in my first full year of racing and am enjoying the competition very much.
I am a team sponsored rider for Apex Racing, FasstCo, G-Force Racing, AMSoil, ODI Grips, Blaze1 Clothing, No Fear, DWT/Motoworks, and X-Brand Goggles. I am very mature for my age and people always comment about my muscles when they see me without a shirt. In the WORCS series I race the 70 and 90 Stock ATV and the Sport 8-15 year old classes. I am hoping to get a championship in 2011 in both the 70 and 90 Stock classes and a 3rd overall in the Sport 8-15 year old class!
We travel to the races in our 40 foot Fleetwood Discovery and towing my race trailer which my Dad pimped out- a 24 foot 2012 Carson trailer.
I plan to ride for many more years to come and hope to race Pro one day. I also have a little sister that I plan to teach to ride; she can't wait to get on a quad alone, but right now she isn't old enough. Meanwhile she has to just watch me!
Riding Goals
Continue on mini-quads in 2012. 2013 race 250cc shifter... qualify for pro-am at age 15, goal to race pro at age 16 and be the youngest person to ever win a pro ATV championship!
Competitive Highlights
I started 2011 racing a 70 Stock and a 90 Stock quad. I raced the 90 stock in the very competative Sport 8-15 year old class and wasn't able to place in the top 3 because my stock quad could not compete with a modified. About mid-year, we modified my practice 90 Stock and had a builder take the engine to about 18.5 hp. Since then, I have been able to do much better in the Sport class! I LOVE my modified quad!!!
