Personal History

My first quad was a Polaris Predator 50 that I started riding at the age of 4. We rode the Oregon Dunes and the dirt trails around Crescent Lake, Oregon. From there I moved on to a Predator 90, a Yamaha Raptor 250, Yamaha Raptor 660 and then my current bike, a 2013 Yamaha YFZ450R (the website didn't have 2013 as an option when entering my riding class). I've grown up riding at the dunes and on the dirt trails at Crescent. This is the first time I've tried racing at a track and I love it!

I'm currently an 8th grader at Fern Ridge Middle School. I've tried playing soccer and football, but riding is my passion. I have a 15 year old brother who also rides a YFZ450R and my parents have a Rzr 900. We love to camp and take our motorhome out at least once a month all year long, usually to go riding. I also love to fish and have been known to pack a fishing pole on my quad with me.

Riding Goals

Now that I've tried racing, I want to keep racing and keep winning. I like to practice by riding at the dunes and track. I'm trying to talk my parents into building a track on our property so I can ride even more. My Mom looked into another race circuit in Washington that I'd like to try and do as well as the local Territorial track.

I like the competitiveness of riding and doing what I love. I want to learn how to ride harder and faster. I like to watch the pros to see how they move and ride. I like to take care of my bike and want to spend time learning how to do some of the things myself.

Competitive Highlights

I tried my first race in October without ever riding on a track before except for the one practice period before the race on the same day. All the quads rode together with the professional, amateur and beginners. I was the 3rd person to finish the race, behind the one professional and one amateur. I placed first for beginners and was hooked. Two weeks later the track was open for practice and I worked on my timing, placement on the track and the jumps. I'm looking forward to the next race in a week and a half and posting my results.
